Hi, I put a CICA claim in a 6 weeks ago and to my suprise it was accepted on Friday and an offer made. I have signed all the paperwork and my lawyer has confirmed that it's been submitted to CICA. I know it's potentially up to 28 days wait for the money to actually hit my bank account but does anyone have any insight as how how long it typically takes? Is it more likely to be the full 28 days or is there a good chance of it being sooner. It was quite an uncomplicated claim if that makes any difference, hence why it was accepted so quickly by CICA.
It feels a bit like winning the world's shittest lottery but it's a life changing sum of money for me and will allow me to clear all of my debt with enough left over to complete my driving lessons, buy a car and a years insurance outright and still have a rainy day fund at the end of everything.
