Should I expect anything else following a safeguarding ref

Hi just looking for some advice here. Back towards the end of August (26th) I was in hospital, due to a collapse, I have a chronic health condition, but during the assessment I had mentioned that the day before I’d been drinking alcohol, socially. I shouldn’t drink with my condition, and I’ve not touched a drop since this incident. Anyway long story short a safeguarding referral was put through by the nurse. I have two children, 4 & 7. One with additional needs.

I would think, if the referral was made in August and a social worker has still not been in touch, that social services don't feel it meets the threshold to investigate.
You will probably never hear from them.

If it's troubling you, why not ring social services and ask if they have an open case for your child. I expect they will tell you that the case is already closed.

I would be surprised if this even made it past the hospital's safeguarding team.
I assume when you were out drinking social lot your children were looked after?

Frustrated that they even said that to you - even with your health condition, it's your choice at the end of the day! And if your children are looked after while your out, it's not anyone else's business!
