Courier delivered to completely wrong address

I ordered from Debenhams.com

The item was delivered to completely wrong address's. They're saying as they're a market place and the product came from one of their concessions they can't help me and won't refund me. What can I do?

Where did the address come from? Did you type your address and they delivered to another or as far as they are concerned they delivered to the adddress given.

They sent a photo showing a completely wrong house

The address on the parcel was correct, they left it on the rear porch of some random house - not even my street so I don't know where.

I've even sent Debenhams photos of my house to show the construction etc of the house it was left at isn't mine. I don't even have a back porch

Debenhams are liable until you receive the goods. If their contracted delivery company messed up it is up to them to deal with it and resend/refund. If you paid by card you could ask your bank to refund you and claim.

How did you pay? If you don't get anywhere with Debenhams your payment provider should be able to help. Have you tired twitter? That often gets their attention.

I'm afraid this is wrong. Debenham's terms and conditions are clear that, where you place an order for a product sold by a third party, your contract is with the third party, not with Debenhams. Debenhams simply act as agent.

@Blushingm - Debenhams are correct that your contract is with Life Interiors. Going on the pages for their products, I can see that you should be able to contact them at [email protected]. You should also complain to Debenhams that their details are not listed at Concessionaire Brands | Debenhams - that page is supposed to give details of all third party sellers.

Sorry my mistake. Was it clear that the company was a third party though? Either online or in the order confirmation.

It's a joke when this happens, we had similar in that Amazon have several times delivered a massive parcel with a completely different address on to our place. Their mobile device puts a circle on our house for some reason.
If I complain they refuse to take it back and say they are only the courier and the sender needs to correct the address. Not clocking that their only job is to deliver to the actual address on the parcel.
They just keep telling us to keep it or donate or dispose whatever we prefer, meaning we have a full wheelie bin.

In your case I would either claim back on credit card or get in touch with the actual seller. And don't buy from them in future.
A few web sites do this market place thing and the stuff is not always good quality and often ordered (more Cheaply) from eBay or Amazon as a "gift".

No it wasn't clear at all - I thought I was buying from Debenhams

If you buy from eBay or Etsy you know who you're buying from as you actually pay the seller I feel a bit duped

Looking at the website at some of the Life Interiors products, all of them state "Sold and Delivered by Life Interiors". Maybe double check the listing for the item you bought OP, if it is stated then it sounds like Debenhams are correct and you will need to contact Life Interiors customer service.
