Crown court, christmas

My dh has been summoned for jury service at a crown court and it starts on 18th December, so spans the Christmas period.
I was wondering if anyone knows when courts sit over the holiday period, as I don't know if we will be able to go away or not this year.

They haven’t released the actual dates for this year yet but it’s likely to be that court will sit till Fri 22 Dec, close 25/26 and potentially 27 and be open 28/29.
However, if you have a pre-booked holiday you can sometimes be excused if you can provide booking details.

We don't have anything booked, and it's a good time for him to do it as there are no school runs to worry about, so it isn't a problem. I just wondered if he would be needed either side of Christmas/boxing day in case we are invited to relatives.
Thank you for replying so quickly 😊

22 dec may be a half day sitting for jurors. 27th will be a sitting day as it is not a bank holiday, so 18-22nd, break until 27, 28, 29 dec then break until 2 Jan.
