Final hearing at court today and it was a shambles! Little back story
Went through DA with my sons dad and had a non molestation order on him till son turned 2. Cafcass advised court on no contact other than indirect that happened then moved onto supervised visits in contact centre supervised by a worker and myself due to my sons additional needs! I contested PR due to multiple reasons but it was granted I kinda knew it would be. Although out of 6 contacts father should of had he only attended 3 and apparently that shows commitment according to judge! He now claims he can only see my son for 6hours yes 6HOURS a YEAR!!!! one hour every other month!! My sons autistic with other needs and social anxiety how is a bond supposed to be built on 6hrs?!?!?! But more contact 15 to be exact has been granted which will take almost 2yrs based on every other month! Lastly I contested change of surname from mine to his! As that's my sons identity it what he's taught we was never together nor married! On off relationship! Father also found out his own father isn't biologically his own which leaves questions about his identity so why should I give my son a name that isn't biologically linked to him or his father?!?!
Yet the courts have said its in my sons best interests that he has his dad's name added! I'm in disbelief that such decisions can be made which could effect my son when older if looking for family! My surname will remain his surname but dad's will be added as middle name how Is this even allowed. I could go on but I won't! Any one else been thru similar.
