Martial Rape in coercive control relationship

My ex has been charged with coercive control, and now there will be a trial in the crown court. However, during the investigation, I realised I was raped on many occasions, one resulted in pregnancy. I was told by the officer in charge that I had to report rape individually as it was a separate case. I finally had the courage to report it 2weeks ago. However, now reading up online, it seems like rape is very difficult to prove, and in most cases, the perpetrator doesn’t even get charged.

I wondered if anyone knows how marital rape is dealt with when domestic abuse is involved.

Thank you so much in advance.

I don't know the answer to your question but couldn't read and run. Hopefully this bumps your post too. So sorry you're going through this xx

It is true that the majority of cases don't get as far as court, but the main reason for this is the complainant withdrawing.

I’d be interested in this because it’s my experience, too.
