How would I find out what sentence someone received at a Crown court ?

Local newspaper?

Sentences are public record, is it an old one or recent? National archives if older or contact the crown court directly.
Most end up in the media so a quick Google can often suffice

Thanks - it's quite recent and not local to me. I wasn't sure if the court would provide the information if I emailed to ask but I shall try that.
