Hi, my partner applied for his conditional order and exactly 6 weeks and 1 day later (yesterday) he had an email saying he could apply for his final order, that was yesterday and still waiting for it to be granted. it says 2 working days on the email so hoping it will be tomorrow. But it says on the his gov portal that they are waiting for his ex to accept the final order (she’s saying she hasn’t had an email) so unsure if he needs her to get the final order?

@midnights0

How long did it take for the conditional order to be granted after applying before the 6 weeks 1 day started?

With the final order, as far I'm aware it only takes 1 person go sign to end the marriage on the final order. Are you sure this is the final order and not acknowledgement of divorce?

@Danidutch I can't remember exactly but it was no more than a few days. It was really quick. It was deffo the final order he applied for screenshots added but it says your wife has to respond by august 1st which yesterday and he's no email today 🫣 he applied august 1st at midnight, so unsure if tomorrow is the 2nd working day instead of today, but it says to be told what to do if they do not respond. Didn't think they had to respond if he's applied for the final order

@Danidutch he never had to do that! She signed the divorce papers the day they was sent to her back in November!

Danidutch · 02/08/2023 21:44

Is the divorce a joint case?

Mine is not a joint case, I applied for it as a sole applicant. Maybe that's why your partner final order needs both signatures.

@Danidutch no, he is a sole applicant!

My partners final order came through Friday about 5pm! All done and divorced.

Danidutch · 08/08/2023 03:31

If I worked it out right, your partners conditional order got granted in 3 or 4 days?

Rest of us are waiting 2+ weeks 🤷‍♂️

Applied for divorce June 2023
Applied Conditional Order 9th November 2023 and it was confirmed I would have a response by 4th January 2024.

Made a formal complaint to CEO of HM Courts and Tribunal service 15th November 2023 regards to the delay....

Received my Conditional Order certificate of entitlement today 22nd November
Will be pronounced in court 7th December
I can apply for final order 19th January 2024..

I over the moon as getting married March 2024...we are going abroad so would have had to cancel, hence my massive complaint..

Questions

Does anyone know if Final order certificate is received by email or post?

Also does this have to be notarised to be used abroad?

walle2 · 23/11/2023 10:23
