Received a death threat…

My husband has received a death threat - sorry if vague but it is kind of tied into his job - it is saying they want to shoot us both with AK47s… to be honest it does sound like someone with mental health issues on the phone (which I am not sure makes it any less scary or more so). It has been reported to the police as a hate crime but not sure what I should be expecting them to do… I am just honestly really shaken…

Has he told his employer? It must be scary but hopefully it’s an idiot ranting.

This must be a shock.
The caller will most likely be all talk but you both need to take it serious. I would suggest locking down any social media and doing a quick search on both your names in various web search engins to see what informtion is in the public domain.

Your husband (his job) needs to risk assess if the person would carry out any type of physical attack and also what personal information the individual has which would allow physical contact.
