what happens if someone is arrested and told to do an anger management course as a community resolution and doesn't do the course?
it's been a few months and they still haven't done it, they've received a phonecall from the arresting officer to remind them to do it.
does anything happen if they just don't?

If the offender doesn't do the course, the police can deal with the case through the normal criminal justice process, i.e. they can be cautioned or prosecuted. If they are prosecuted, the police can tell the court that the offender failed to comply with the community resolution.

Thanks for replying, do you know how long after receiving the community resolution they would wait before doing anything further? He was originally told to do it within a month and it's been about 4months now.

It's a tough one because I was told that if there person didn't do such and such that he was told to as part of this community resolution order then he'd be arrested.
But he didn't do this one thing and he wasn't arrested, no further action was taken.
So I just it doesn't always happen...
Funnily enough almost 2 years further down the line something else happened that he did so it's now gone further because of that...

Impossible to answer, I'm afraid. Depends on the police force and the officer involved. They may choose not to do anything, I'm afraid.
