Requesting personal information from DVLA

Is there a simple legal method to use to get copies of what is held by the DVLA relating to me? I have written to ask for it but have had no response for two months and am prepared to wait a month longer. An FoI request seems a bit over the top and probably not pertinent. I need the information to decide whether to appeal a decision, an action which is time dependent.

I think a Subject Access Request is what’s needed to request your own details. FOI is for statistics, more general info etc, rather than your personal data.

You might need to make an official complaint for them to get their arses into gear. I had to do it to get a licence returned.

@PatriciaHolm Thanks. It is a subject access request I need. The previous request I made wasn't in a form and went recorded snail mail, though it contained all the details requested on the form.

Thanks for the help.
