Good morning everyone, I need some urgent advice please. I am self employed and I process personal data, hence I need to be registered with the ICO.
I had to renew my registration last month and at the time of renewal I requested that they withhold my home address from the public register because I have been a victim of DV in the past. They withheld it for me last year, no problems. I renewed for the year last month and my home address has been displayed on the public register for over 3 weeks now, despite repeated emails asking them to withhold it. I even got my MP involved who says he would intervene last week but my address is still on display.
The ICO email responses to me have been bizarre, I have been told my registration has expired or that they have already withheld my home address. Well, I just did a search this morning and it is still visible.
I am so stressed. My personal safety is now at risk. I think I need to seek some legal advice.
