Whiplash claim

Hi!

I've been in many car accidents (unfortunately) but had one with my 6 month old last week.

Since the accident my car has been written off and thankfully LO is fine however I have had a headache and pressure in my ears ever since.

I contacted the doctors who just sent an email back saying it was probably whiplash and to make an appointment if it was worse in 4 weeks.

I am thinking of claiming for whiplash, I'm struggling to actually hear my son cry at night now and very uncomfortable. I've NEVER claimed before but in genuine discomfort and the other driver was 10000% in the wrong.

I just wondered what to expect from other people's experiences?

3+ years it took with minster law and i got 7,100. I had an mri scan and several appointments with their doctor. It took so long because minster law are rubbish.

Back is still quite bad at times.

Sorry pressed send too soon

I was rear ended by a car going 30mph whilst I was sat with brakes on at traffic lights.

Sorry you are in pain. It really does hurt! I was also not keen on claiming but trestment a loss of earnings costs money.

Simple personal injury claims used to be turned round pretty quickly but thanks to the rise in fraudulent claims they now take longer. Start by talking to your insurance company as they should have a solicitor or claims company they use. (Beware no win no fee unless you can afford the insurance they will get you to pay for - incase you don't win.) Expect to have a medical, not your GP but an independent, they may be a GP or a hospital doctor. The process is likely to take several months (or longer). Don't expect a massive payout.

Have you never claimed before after so many accidents?

Have you made another appointment with doctor about not being able to hear your DC cry at night?

Put in a claim and then hang up your car keys for good 👍
