Position Statement

Hi, going to court in June and need to write a Position Statement as the FHDRA was unsuccessful. I am representing myself and unsure about exactly what it needs to contain. How much do I need to go into the past with my ex, am I expected to provide evidence? Any advice on this, what happens on the day would be really appreciated!

I’m self representing and had some incredible support by a barrister called Simon Walland and it’s really low cost. He wrote my statement for me. I believe he also has various mini online courses on this subject and others for those who are litigants in person in the family court.

It should be a short statement giving the current position, concerns & desired outcome. Focus on what is in best interests of child(ren).
