Coercive and Controlling behaviour in intimate relationship

So my Ex husband has been charged with coercive and controlling behaviour, and now the case is going to the Crown court for a trial. So just wondering if anyone has been through a similar situation. What to expect during a trial? Also, does anyone knows the CPS conviction rate for this type of crime? I appreciate any help you can provide. Thank you

I don't know of a source for an exact figure for the current conviction rate, but a few years ago it was a little over 50% for cases where controlling or coercive behaviour was the main offence. This is somewhat lower than for domestic abuse cases generally, where the conviction rate is over 75%.

Hi, please can I ask how the court case went and what was the outcome.

Thanks

Simplycomplicated1 · 31/12/2023 02:32

@Tweeky80 Hi the trial date has been set for the end of July 2024 (Initially it was January 2025). It's a very slow process. I hope you are well, if you have any further questions you can private message me. Thanks

Hi! Unfortunately the trial has been delayed till next year September (I can’t even begin to express how frustrating it is). How are you doing?!
