Whole year work contract requesting to change to term time only

Working in state school, non teaching position,

Got contract but whole year want to change to term time

I can work jn half terms but more on a flexible basis

They don’t have to agree to change your contract/ terms of service. all you can do is ask them but be prepared for the fact that they might say no. They can’t sack you for asking. Maybe they would agree to your working p/t in the holidays as a compromise?

How long have you been there?

You need to put in a flexible working request, look it up on ACAS website as they have guidance on how that request process should work and what you need to include.

You need to be able to justify that this change will not negatively affect the business.
