Currently nearing a final hearing for a variation of a child arrangements order. Ex applied straight to court after making some awful false allegations so he managed to get it signed off that mediation was unsuitable. Court have not made a direction for mediation. I suggested a parenting plan and he now wants to go to mediation for this. We don’t even know if there are any issues yet as we haven’t done one yet! He has legal rep I don’t, I can’t afford mediation. Can I say that it was deemed unsuitable but I am more than willing to negotiate through his solicitor to agree a parenting plan for the judge to sign at the final hearing?

Or you could ask that he pays mediation?
