Compared with yearly expected earnings, how much compensation would you expect for a mid 20s person who ends up in pain and mainly in a wheelchair as a result of an other persons fault car accident?

DD was offered just under 30k when medics were saying she should recover, but now they are saying she won't. I was thinking it should be considerably higher given her pain and massively reduced lifestyle and working options.
