Not totally recent but i applied mid july 22 and received probate 29th nov 22. An intestate death with no inheritance tax payable if that helps

It's about 18 weeks at the moment. We applied early October and it was granted 2 weeks ago.

We applied in August last year, took 8a weeks exactly.
I called after 7 weeks to enquire as shoukdvif received notification they were dealing with it, the guy had a look at applied and said it looked straightforward..1 week later i was granted probate

We're coming up to month 6. We're waiting to hear about a probate. It was applied for in October 2022 and we were initially advised by the person who applied that they expected it to be done by December. We didn't think that it would be done by then as we know it usually takes months. We were informed again in January that they expected it to take another 6 weeks. We've just heard this week that it hasn't been granted yet and the next communication, from the person who applied, will be to let us know when it comes through.
I keep an eye on the probate register daily so will probably see it appear there before we hear from them.

3 weeks from application? That’s encouraging , was there a property involved?
