Child arrangement order

So my ex partner has told me he is getting a child arrangement order in place, the reason behind this is because when I sent a message about school holidays I’ve mixed the days up so our child isn’t back and forth and she stays with him say him 3 and me 2 or vice Versa. He isn’t seeing her any less than normal and he hasn’t ever not seen her.

I guess I’m just after some advice as to what I’ll have to do when it comes through? He isn’t getting one because of no contact or anything o just don’t think he likes me dictating to him what days he has her etc in the holiday.

Thanks x

Hi
well firstly don’t panic
a letter will come thought the door stating what he has applied for and the date you are to attend court.

  • It may state others things but do not panic if you you know it’s not true

You will have 14 days to reply to this letter to show acknowledgment but don’t panic if your unable to reply in 14days just reply to the court explaining why! I.e I haven’t been able to get legal advice etc but will send in acknowledgment soon.

you will need to save the messages you and with your ex just in case you need them in court ( please save these )

before the court date you will need to write a position statement - this is to explain your side of things like you have just don’t previously and how you have tried to be fair with child contact with dad.

I hope this helps 👍🏽

Btw the aim of family court is for you both to agree they ain’t gonna just make a decision at the first court date they have to give you both the opportunity to agree in the court
