Hi All

My ex husband has been charged with ABH by the CPS. He pleaded not guilty and chose to go to court hearing at the Crown Court instead of Magistrates Court. He is also now on court bail to not make contact with me.
My question is, from your experience what are the chances of him being convicted?

@EF1997

when you say partner do you mean in the present tense ? I should think given the charges to include strangulation and coercive control and the fact you still seem to be with your “partner” ( and his previous “bad character” ) that they won’t believe you for one second. I hope that your mum and friend do the right thing and carry on with the case and you can be rescued from this relationship. If it gets dropped because of your retraction then I’m afraid you will be painted as dishonest for all the future cases of domestic violence down the road. Good luck OP - wishing you all the best.

Sorry I don’t know how to do this

You’d be better to start your own thread @EF1997 , however it isn’t clear whether you are looking for your partner to get off- it’s sounds like he has done bad stuff to you, if so please get some help and try to concentrate on looking after yourself rather than worrying about him. He does not sound like a good guy.
