Waste carrier license legality query.

I’ll keep this as brief as possible. I’ve hired skips from a company several times over the last 3 years. All has gone well until this time in which the damned skip is still on my drive 4 weeks after requesting collection…however that is not the problem here..just background info.

Due to the above mentioned issue I have done some Googling as you do. The company director (let’s call him Shaun) has always delivered every skip we’ve had and the woman we arrange the skip with (let’s call her Tina) has dealt with all the phone enquiries.

It turns out Shaun was refused a waste carriers license last year and there is a public enquiry available on the gov website regarding the details. A further bit of sleuthing shows me the company does have a waste carrier license but it’s in Tina’s name.

Is this legal? For clarity Shaun is registered as the sole company director on companies house and Tina has no registered interest.
