Car parking issue

So I parked in a, I think, private car park which I saw driving past. It stated £3 parking all day. Great! I parked up, went to the machine to pay, and could not work out how to pay using the app as it asked for a security code on my card. It didn't show £3 all day but different rates for different time length and felt it a bit dodgy. I was in a rush, so I left the car park and found alternative parking and I deleted the app.

When I got home, I looked online to check if there would be an issue for parking a couple of minutes and I've come across their rating on parkopedia. Apparently they hand out £100 fines for all sorts, albeit, the last review was a year ago.

I'm now panicking Ill get fined for parking for that short period of time (10 minutes tops). I've no proof I tried to pay. Does anyone have any advice?

Thanks

Don't worry about something that hasn't happened and probably never will.

I think most car parks have an amount of time you're allowed to go in and out within before they class you as staying (incase it's full etc). 10 minutes should be well within that time frame 😊 If it wasn't a barrier car park, it might be parking warden patrolled. If you didn't have a physical ticket on your windscreen I'd also think you were fine.

The security code on the your card is on the back and is 3 digits long
