How can we get a copy of TR1 submitted to land registry ? I searched in the land registry and gov.uk website but it doesnt give any provision to download TR1 document.

Any help would be much appreciated 🙂

We got the documents from the solicitor post completion. The solicitor sent us the TR1 form with the previous buyer names (for which the sale didnt go through) 🙄as transferee. The title is updated with my name and DH name though. Just wanted to make sure they submitted the right TR1 to the land registry 😦

If the title has been updated with your name and your husband's name, you were clearly shown as the transferees on the TR1 that was submitted. What exactly are your concerns?

Thanks for your reply.

The title looks alright to us. It shows my name and my DH name. We received the post completion pack from the solictors .

one of the doucment in it is TR1 from the sellers side( signed by them), And in that the transferee name is wrong ( shows someone else's name, may be previous person for whom the sale fallen through).

Worried as solicitors might have submitted the same wrong document in Land Registry too.

But if the wrong TR1 was sent, it wouldn't be your and DH name on the title, it would be the mysterious other people, surely?

So yours and DH name being on the title shows it must have been the right TR1 that was submitted.

Thanks for your reply.

If the name(s) in the title register is right, can we asssume that the right TR1( Seller's signed TR1) has been sent by the solicitor to the Land registry ?

From where can we get the TR1 document and other documents submitted to Land registry? Tried browsing through the gov.uk and land registry pages could download only title and plan but not the other documents.

Just like to make sure that everything is right

The Land Registry title is the key document here. If that is correct then the correct TR1 was submitted.

Thanks for the replies.🙂 It put my mind at rest

This is bonkers it's not up to you to chase it down, it absolutely was right because land registry would have registered it to them otherwise but it's your solicitors job to provide records. Pick up the phone and tell them their mistake!!

Rang the solicitors.

It looks like the seller's conveyancer had given wrong TR1 form post completion( with wrong(unknown) name as transferee 😦.

Our conveyancer has submitted the wrong TR1 to the Land registry without even verifying the transferee names.🙄

In the end Land Registry found the mistake and requested for the right forms. Our solicitors got the updated TR1 from the sellers after that and send it to land registry.

Phew ! Glad that the Land Registry picked up the mistake. Couldnt imagine the property being not registered in our names after paying substantial deposit and repaying the mortgage. Was really shocked to know the TR1 with wrong names being submitted to Land Registry without basic verification😲

We were sent in the completion pack the wrong TR1 (which was submitted first). Hence the whole confusion began.

It's a bit weird that you weren't also asked to re-sign the correct TR1 form, as it has both sides' signatures.

But I'm not a conveyancer.

janett2 · 19/10/2022 09:29

AFAIK , We just sign buyer side of the TR1. Seller has a separate copy and they sign it. But both the copies should match other than the signatures.
