Contract - Terms & Conditions

Our independent school sent us a contract - online pdf. It was just a one page offer letter with another page for us to sign 'we agree to t&cs'. The offer letter mentioned just a line 'according to the published terms and conditions'. No link was shared, and even though it was an online document there was no link to the t&cs. Are businesses even allowed to do this? Especially, since they can update the online t&c document anytime without notifying the parents.
The terms and conditions are also very unfair. But that's a longer discussion. Btw, it's a terrible school which has forced a lot of parents with sen children out by their bad practises and no support and then enforce these t&cs. Parents are forced to remove the children because children's mental health really suffers. It's happened several times in the past.
