As title suggests, going through a lawyer at present regarding access arrangements. I have a recording of my ex admitting to putting my DC in a dangerous /neglectful situation. My question is, is this proof enough? No malice, geneuine concern for their safety when with ex. Can I use this as information to pass on to social services also?

There's no simple answer to this, you need to talk to your solicitor or legal advisor about it. Did your Ex know you were recording and agree to it or was it covert/secret recording? Covert recordings are quite tricky in terms of admissibility in court but can be used in some circumstances although their value really varies depending on the exact facts and context, this article is useful and explains the legal principles.
