Car "accident"

So today I came out of a car park and supposedly hit a parked van with driver in the van.

I say supposedly as this is how it went...

Drive out of car park, turn on to main road. As I look in my rvm I have a man in a van beeping and reviving behind me at speed. I panic, so turn into a side residential street only for him to pull out in front of me and block the road. I wind down my window and he is shouting obscenities about how I've hit his van. I reply angrily back and tell him he's mistaken. He then starts taking my number plate down. He then shouts and calls me an old c**t (I'm 40 btw and he must've been in his 60s, so that made me chuckle😂) and drives off!

I've looked at my car (see pic) and there is not a shred of damage on it!!

Also, I took photos of him blocking the road and pictures of my car minutes later.

What do I do now? I haven't reported it, but should I? I'm not admitting to something I didn't do or there is no evidence of?

When did you supposedly hit him, it's not clear from your post?

Any CCTV cameras around at all in that area? This is the reason we have dash cams because they make it very clear what actually occurred if anything did occur. Sorry you are going though this. Lots of insurance scams out there or just mad driving. Have you seen the videos on YouTube from dash cams of people throwing themselves onto car bonnets of stationary vehicles? Claiming they have been hit by a car? Madness.

Sympathies.
I was followed by a very aggressive van driver in much the same way as you were, same outcome ie forcing me to stop, confronting me, shouting, swearing. Really intimidating and scary for me and my DD.
Just the same as you, I knew there had been no collision, no impact, no damage to either car. He’d come speeding round a roundabout across two lanes and had to screech to a halt to avoid hitting me, pootling along slowly.
He eventually roared off shouting about reporting me for dangerous driving, failing to stop (I was terrified of him!) etc. I’d told him to go ahead, I had cameras all round my car (Tesla) and knew I’d done nothing wrong whereas he was being intimidating and aggressive.
I was worried, but did nothing as I’d done nothing wrong. Thought about reporting his behaviour to the police but decided to leave it in the end, once I’d calmed down.
And … absolutely nothing happened. So if he did go to all the bother of uploading his ‘evidence’ to the MET and reporting me, it was a lovely waste of his time. Ha!
You’ve done nothing wrong, you’ve made a note of it here, so forget all about him and his sh*tty attitude.

Definitely try to get CCTV footage of the car park asap.

Report it to your local police as the man was aggressive, they might be able to confirm your car has no damage. Did you get his reg plate? Also go back to supermarket and see if there's any cctv.

I had something similar happen to me just after I’d had DD and I was terribly shaken up. Nothing on my car, no noise from a bang or scrape just pure aggression from him. I drove to the nearest police station and reported it along with his registration. They said I had done the right thing as if he reported me i could be done for fleeing the scene. I was terrified and kept saying my baby is in the back stop but he kept coming at me. Funnily enough at the time on a very busy road in the city centre when he saw a police car he jumped back in his car and zoomed off!
