Hey, so, my ex pleaded guilty to ABH (by recklessness - yeah right) anyway, we went to court to sort out child arrangements and his mother is supposed to supervise contact Thurs - Sunday (this was all i could get until next court hearing). Now, his family dont think he needs to be supervised, his mum goes out a lot and has a boyfriends house she stays at, and in court she moaned a lot about having to stick around and supervise for 4 days, she also moaned about this in the social services report.
The issue i am having is I know he isnt being supervised, but his family will lie, and his mum will just say she was gone for an hour which she has been given permission to do (1 hour max) so i dont know what i am supposed to do.
i dont want my baby unsupervised as he is a drinker and gets angry (hence the attack on me 2 months after he left the home) but i have no way to prove he isnt being supervised and he lives out of my area, so clearly feels he can get away with it.

is there any advice at all?

I am not allowed to his home, as he isnt allowed direct or indirect contact with myself, so i am unsure what i am supposed to do.

Thank you in advance xx

Have you discussed this with womens aid? Or do you have a case worker yourself?

I havent spoke to womens aid, I will have a little google. We do have a social worker as the court wanted them to do a section 37 report. The social worker who done the report has basically said throughout the report that i cant safeguard my children because I was in a DV relationship, which is really hurtful. Im being viewed as the bad guy some how so im trying to prove to them I can safeguard my children. I did put a formal complaint in about the social worker as she has twisted a lot of the report and I put in a complaint about her before she done the section 37 report but they refused to give me a new social worker, and also the complaints dont deal with it until it has been to court. (i am so worried about how i am going to be viewed because of this report)

I have a new social worker now that the report has been done and she is a lot more understanding, and i am hoping she can go through the report before court with me to discuss my discrepencies (bad spelling haha)

I asked if social can do some unexpected visits during his contact, but because they are out of my town and him and his family are saying he is supervised, they arent taking me seriously. I just dont know what to do...
