I’m having some issues with work and wondered if anyone can help.
I handed in my 1 months notice last month so was expecting to receive 1 months worth of full pay for my notice period and my accrued annual leave. The months notice period would be between weeks 46 and 50 of my maternity leave.
It’s pay day today and I have only been paid my annual leave. Work have said they don’t need to and wont be paying my one months notice because I didn’t work it (as I’m on maternity) and my contract ended at 39 weeks….
I have worked there for 6 years if that matters.
I’m pretty sure this isn’t legal but not 100%! Does anyone have any idea? I’ll be contacting citizens advice tomorrow but don’t really know where else to go with this.
