Bought tramadol in Mexico while on holiday just 1 box. Can I take it home to U.K.?

I bought 1 box of tramadol in Mexico on my holiday we go home soon I have half a box left, can I take it home with me to the U.K.?
what will happen if they find it in my suit case?

I've no legal knowledge, but if you do, make sure you go through the red lane and declare it at customs. Then they can throw it away without you having to try to import it illegally

Not without proof it was prescribed to you. If it's found it will be confiscated and you may be prosecuted for possession.

I ditched it in the bin. Shame as it’s been helping so much with my pain and I’m only on 2 per day I had half a box left but I felt much safer knowing I was not doing anything wrong. However my bags were never searched so no doubt in my mind I could have got it home no problem as it would have been in my hand luggage which I had other medication in there and it went through a scanner and nobody asked to see it.
