I'm in Scotland and have been awarded legal aid in 2019 for divorce/ child residence.
It is messy, mental abuse by stbexh, police and women's aid involved.
Since then I have changed jobs and earning more by £7k per year but also pay £350 per month for child maintenance (this wasn't the case when I was awarded the legal aid). I have informed legal aid about pay increase but they haven't done anything except of asking me if I'm still okay to pay monthly rates.
I have made some savings over the last few years and it would be enough to pay it off completely. £2.5k remaining to be paid over the next 2 years.
Does anyone know what would be the best to do? Is it likely that legal aid will be withdrawn because I earn more or I pay it off early?
