HAGUE CONVENTION/ holiday abroad

Morning 😊
Recently seperated from EA ex and he is wanting to take DS (under 1) to his home country for a “holiday” (a non Hague convention country). This was planned before seperating so and I was meant to be going aswell.
However, since separating, his lies, threats and actions make me very doubtful he would return DS. Due to the Sharia law of the said country, I know it he decides to keep him there, then I have no rights or chance getting him back.
DS is living with myself and I have his passport. Already told him I have withdrawn consent for the holiday which he took badly and said he they’re going anyways.
Been to solicitors to put an urgent PSO in place but was told there is a possibility if I do it before planned holiday a judge could still consent to the holiday if I have no proof of abduction threats (they have all been verbal).
Anyone have any experience? Would a judge still grant a holiday to a non Hague convention country? Any advice would be great :)

I wonder if the relationships board would have more traffic for this?

Maybe ask to be moved to legal as I think this would be a better place.

Oh you'll get your PSO. I'd be shocked if you didn't.
I'm dual: American and British, having lived in the UK for 25 years now.
The court has ordered two PSOs against me, even though I am anything but a flight risk... I have been labelled this twice. In the eyes of the law, I am. Who's to say I won't go home to the States and stay there with the kids? I won't. It's absurd. And it would be so silly of me to walk away from an entire life and community I've built up over the years in the UK, but the judge would be mental to take my word. Hence, the PSO.
I am sure a PSO will be put in place. Verbal threats are enough. I think your situation is high risk and I would not soften your stance at all on this. Your baby will be getting on no planes with the father this summer.

By the way, I have the name of an amazing barrister (he is direct access, so you can book and pay for an hour and a half appointment with him. He will then write a detailed report of your conversation with him and the advice he has given you. He is AMAZING and I've used him about 3 times now). His specialty is abduction/Hague Convention/moving abroad with children/dealing with abduction risk. This is what he does. I'll DM you his details.
He is SO nice to boot. He is not cheap. But he is good!
