Hi guys need some advice. I have had my telephone interview with Cafcass after getting off the phone I realised there where a couple of things I forgot to say. Will I be able to say these things at our first court hearing?

You can follow up with an email directly to the cafcass officer. I did this several times during our process. She included several things I said in the section 7 we had as a result of following up. As long as you don't rehash what you've already said and you're giving her additional information that matters then it'll be fine.

Hello, I am new to this and can’t work out how to begin a thread.
can anyone add anything or advise who has had a similar situation?

firstly I have one child who has always lived with me since birth, never had any issues father has good relationship with child. We split when child was 6mo.

we fell out due to a decline in his mH, he was abusive and I tried to get him prescription meds by calling making him appt at doctors. He was given meds but didn’t take them after week 1. I paid for some counselling for him and that failed due to coronavirus.

then he became abusive and threatened to kill me and various other voicemails and txts.
he followed me and bullied me.

eventually I called the police and reported and he was charged with malicious comms.
i got a non mol order which he broke numerous times and got a suspended sentence for. although I still maintained contact via relatives for him with child.

eventually he became worse and I moved and cut contact to safeguard.

I recieved a c100, I replied he wants contact every other weekend and half holidays.

this has lead to cafcass safeguearding report
he has a stream of convictions, but they have noted I have previous addiction issues on file stated as historical. I am 9 years clean and do not drink at all.
His probation officer reported him to Marac for fixation on me this year.

his last conviction was for DDriving last month. One year after getting license back for same issue.

cafcass report from phone call states the author of next report would have to make recommendations for any contact. The next being child impact report.

  • does anyone know what that report is ?
any advise would be appreciated greatly

best x

@littleoldone

I’m afraid I can’t help with your query as I don’t have any experience in the area. You will likely do better starting your own thread as some of our more knowledgeable posters may flick over this one thinking it’s already been dealt with. If you are on a web browser, this link should open a page to start a new thread in Legal:
www.mumsnet.com/talk/create-thread?topic=legal_matters

If you are on the app on your phone then scroll to the top and click on the bit that says “< Legal matters” which will take you back to the the list of posts in the Legal Matters forum. From there, look for the little pencil icon at the bottom of the screen that says “New” (not the pencil icon at the bottom this current screen that says “Reply”). Click on “New” to start a thread in the Legal Matters forum.

Your situation sounds stressful, like you’ve been trying to do the right thing and yet you still have to jump through hoops for someone who has been really detrimental to life. Hope you get your questions answered and it’s reassuring.
