Landlord selling, section 21

Hi
My landlord has just issued a section 21 on his tenants, 3 over 60s and one single parent.
Due to Covid, apparently.
( We all paid full rent during both lockdowns)
We were told , by him and agents, no need to worry, won't affect you, you'll have new landlords, you're all good tenants, pay rent, look after property and we've all totally redone the garden, which was just a hedge and dirt patches..My buyers want to totally refurbish then have a tenant paying more. rent .Paying £800 per month for small one bed ,barely room to swing a cat..Property does not need refurbishment, maybe lick of paint and new carpets, as when I moved in I took carpets as they were, as they were letting my lovely old dog
move with me.Who had no accidents, did any damage. In my area, rented properties are like hens teeth but there many similar properties to buy.Prospective buyers think they're getting a 'private' garden. No, is all communal, landlord let me put up fences to keep dog safe and out of respect for other tenants. So everything will be put back to as it was Just feel so hacked out right now.I came here after fleeing a DV relationship (at least I'm still alive, just) Have been in touch with local council, not holding out any hope there. Section 21 , bollocks.I've always paid rent and looked after properties in an exemplary manner.
Just becoming increasingly stressed by all this.I've already had three strokes in the past.
Have contacted local council ,am priority apparently but not holding out much hope.
Am looking for properties every day but now you have to be earning at least £21.000 per annum, I'm just below that and absolutely no pets.
I have a small dog, no trouble and never left alone in property.
He gives me a reason to get up everyday.
I have an excellent reference from previous landlord of 20+ years. I wished I'd listened to my gut feeling and not moved in with narc ex.
On top of this, my elderly mother is very demanding that I do everything she wants, when she wants.
Brother lives minutes from her but she won't ask him to help because 'he's too stressed and tired with moving to his super duper new build house, (buying).
He'll have his hand out when it comes to inheritance though.
I've been told not to move if nowhere to go, not make self intentionally homeless, Will have to go to court for a possession order, which fills me with terror.
Have never known anything like this, have rented many properties both here and abroad, always paid on time, never had any issues.
I could not buy a property with a tenant, knowing I'd want them out.
Hope they can sleep well at night, I'm can't.
