Pro Bono barrister - how to find?

Not for me (thankfully), but for a friend who has orders with a penal notice attached and after three years of proceedings has no more money now to pay a solicitor.

The other party is represented by a pro bono barrister arranged by a charity they are being supported by. Friend is now a litigant in person and at a significant disadvantage.

Thanks
