Childcare receipts

Hi there
I keep asking my daughters after school club for receipts for my payments so I can claim childcare costs back from universal credit but they have been refusing to give them to me automatically meaning I have to contact them each time I make a payment and then they take two weeks to supply the receipt or sometimes don’t at all.
It’s stopping me being able to claim and then when I struggle to make the payment they refuse to take my daughter until it’s paid which as a single parent affects my work.
Do I have any legal rights to force them to give me receipts?
Thanks

Not really. I have to ask my son’s nursery each time but they provide it the next day.
Have you explained that you need it to claim back from UC?
They’re ofsted registered so should be aware of the rules.

Also- do you pay with cash or bank transfer?
If cash I’d expect a receipt straight away

I’ve explained to them that I need receipts to claim it back and they told me I’m the only one who needs them. I told them I understand but I still need them and they keep saying they will sort it but never do. It’s really causing me to struggle. I pay by bank transfer as they don’t accept cash.

Ask them for a template and you’ll do the receipt yourself if they sign it?
Unfortunately you can’t just do your own without their input but uc asks for a receipt and proof of payment. So you need it.

Be firm. Even if you are the only parent that asks for a receipt they should be providing proof of payment anyway like any good business would.
