If someone was given ten years on the SOR, what happens ten years from the date of their conviction? It's just wiped away and they never have to disclose it for work purposes? Never again will it come up on an enhanced DBS? Literally no legal need to stay away from children, disclose if you're staying overnight with any etc?

It will always show on an enhanced DBS - nothing gets dropped off that.

If they have no conditions set on them, they can crack on with whatever they like as they are as unencumbered as anyone else.

Being on the SOR only requires certain actions whilst they are registered. Then that's the end of their sentence
