Accident at work -offer

Hi

I had an accident at work over 3 years ago this has now been sent to court. The defendants have asked for extra time to gather more evidence they were given a week and then a further 28 days which runs out next week.

They seem to be struggling would this mean they would likely to make an offer and if so is that made on the deadline date?

The accident was not reported or investigated properly at the time.

Any insight on how things work would be helpful thanks.
