Tenancy deposit scheme how long to respond?

We have requested our tenancy deposit back from our old property How long does our x landlord have to respond before anything automatic happens? We are suspecting the landlord is deliberately stalling. The rental scheme is DPS if that matters at all.

Ten days unless there's a dispute. As soon as I check my tenant out I do the online form with the DPS and they release it to the tenant as soon as they do their bit, so it should be within 24 hours. I don't see the advantage of a landlord holding on to it as it's not like they can use the money if it's held (as it should be) in a scheme?

There is some level of dispute but landlord is not responding to our offer of an agreement. Is that 10 working days? We put in for it on the 19th
