Looking for advice please. Last year a Facebook group was set up for those expecting a baby this year. A large number of women joined up, agreed the terms of privacy and then continued to document our pregnancies and subsequent journeys into parenthood. There was a lot of support, especially due to the lockdowns and celebration of each milestone.
Then things turned sour between an admin and a small number of group members. Lots of allegations either way and the admin booted them out of the group. Then the admin blocked everyone on the group without warning.
Our issue is that within the group there are still many many photos of scans, young babies, breastfeeding and other personal pictures as well as lots of data regarding names and date of births all posted on what at the time was seen to be a safe space.
We have since learnt that the admin had now allowed random people to join the group, including men which was prohibited under the initial agreement. As you can imagine this had made a great many of us very upset that our private thoughts and images are now up for view by anyone and are no longer safe.
Facebook rules mean that those who were removed from the group without warning (ie everyone but the admin) now cannot access their data to delete it.
Does anyone know a way of forcing the group to be shut down? Or allowing people access to their data to remove it? You can't report it as once you are blocked the group no longer shows up on searches.
