I have a complicated issue with my local council with regards to one of their Tennants
He was convicted of Violent crime resulting in being put on remand assault by beating ( to neighbours ) restraining orders, 2 years suspended sentence & exclusion order from the area
The exclusion order means he can’t go back to his council property till Sept 22 by that time the property will be empty 28 months
I have been pushing the council with help from my MP and local Counciller since lasts summer but they seem to be doing everything possible to allow him to return to the property’s
The councils own rules are you must live in the property - he isn’t and can’t legally - and over 42 days your in breach of your tenancy he has not lived there since April 2020 None of this is in dispute as I have given them the court order which has everything on it .
I obviously don’t want him back to live I would be in absolute fear of my life should he return and that was the whole point of the exclusion order
But the council seem to be allowing him to hold on to the tenancy no matter what .
Even my MP & Counciller are baffled at this level of inaction from the council My MP said she had never ever seen anything like this in 20 years and that people had been evicted with less than what this man has done
The amount of evidence and exclusion order convictions the council have at least 3 options to evict him but they are doing absolutely nothing
Anyone have any idea on how I can take this further
