Hi . I have separated from DP and as we were not married I have to persue a claim for my share of the house through TOLATA. We have tried to reach an agreement through solicitors with no joy. I believe we have to try mediation before taking the case to court . Does anybody know if I still need to have mediation even if we have tried using solicitors? Thank you

The pre action protocol requires you consider Alternative Dispute Resolution which includes mediation.

@MrsBertBibby just seen your response thank you . I was not sure if the solicitors “meetings” would count in lieu of mediation.
