Refunding delivery charge

Googling tells me that a delivery charge should be refunded when the entire order is returned. I sent back an item (entire order) as it was faulty. Notified the company within a week of receipt. They are refusing to refund the delivery charge. Have the laws changed?

Thank you.

No they haven’t.

If it's faulty absolutely yes.

Fight it and send them the legal wording

Thank you for your responses. I’m not sure what step to take now. They refused once when I queried it by email. I then wrote again saying they should under the Consumer Contract Regulations and they’ve just emailed back to say it’s still a ‘no’.

That's when you should send a letter before claim www.citizensadvice.org.uk/law-and-courts/legal-system/small-claims/making-a-small-claim/

Thank you, Collaborate. I’ll try writing to head office. I know I’m being petty, but it’s annoying me that they think they are above the law.
