Falsified dates

Hello
I'm being taken to civil court and I've received documentation from the claimant today and they have tippexed out dates and changed them to earlier dates and they have changed who the letters were addressed too.
I have the original letters they posted me.
We don't have lawyers so just wondering if anyone here knows if there is anything I can do to let the court know they are lying.
Thanks in advance

You will have a chance to put your case. I'm assuming the proceedings have just been issued.

TreaterAnita · 07/05/2021 01:21

What stage is the case at (ie what has the court said will happen next?) You will have the opportunity to send your evidence to the Court, but it depends on the type and value of the claim when that’s likely to happen.

Logic would say that they have provided their 'evidence' and you would get to do the same at which point you can produce the original letters you have.

They’re hoping you don’t have the original letters. More fool them for tampering with the letters as they’ll look stupid.

and open themselves up to potentially very serious criminal charges.

@ProfessorSlocombe exactly my thought.
