Ownership of car. How much proof is needed? Probate

Probate solicitor is saying a car driven by the deceased spouse belongs to the estate. The car was paid for from money from a joint account. The joint account was mostly paid into by the remaining spouse. A cheque stub photocopy was sent, but this is not enough. This cheque from 2018 was paid into the deceased's private current account, and from there the final invoice on the car was paid. The joint account is in both names. The deceased's current account is in their name only. The invoice is in the deceased's name.

Apart from a photocopy of the bank statement relating to this cheque what other proof can be provided. No access to the deceased's accounts.

Who's name is the car registered with DVLA in?

@nicknamehelp

Who's name is the car registered with DVLA in?
originally in the deceased name, but now in surviving spouse's name, but what is registered is not necessarily the owner, as it states on the V5 document.
