Not a good idea to look for legal advice on mumsnet.
Post the situation here and you will get fairly informed lay advice but anyone could pretend to be a lawyer so don't rely on it

There are some lawyers on here who give advice. If it is a simple question you will probably get decent advice here but if you want a definitive answer you should consult a lawyer.

If you have had legal aid before DV relationship but ex is continuing saying stuff to children that isn’t true to paint me ina very bad light and my eldest child who is not his biologically but he got PR in court behaviour is changing. I want to change reduce contact and also maybe ask and the court has told him not to speak badly of other parent.

Sorry OP I'm not sure what your question is?

If a child wants to continue contact with step parent, and some do especially if the person has been in their life a long time and with whom they get on, then I think they should see them sometimes. Healthy relationships are important.

However I doubt a step parent would have legal 'rights' as such.

I am not a lawyer, this is just my opinion.
