Party Walls

Our garden wall backs onto a park. It looks like a second wall has been built outside it, (not attached) which is now crumbling and looks quite dangerous. Where will I find out who is responsible? Land registry title mentions party wall agreement with neighbours but can't find anything to say we are 100% responsible for the outside wall. I'll try to attach a picture!

If the park is on the other side of that wall then it is quite possible that the wall belongs to the park.

Who is responsible? If by that you mean - "who can I force to re[pair the wall?", then the answer is no one. In the same way that no one can force you to put your hand in your pocket and rebuild any of your boundary features.

You can contact the building control department of your local council. Whether they'll be able to do anything is another matter.

If the park is public, it's more likely any party wall reference in your title is either side of you.

If the wall is dangerous, you can report is as a dangerous structure.

There's a slim chance it is a shared wall with a shared maintenance responsibility. Most councils won't try divining that (and if there's a chance to share costs with you) if it's just unsafe.

Depends what the title says, the history of the site etc. - just be aware and if worried, ask a surveyor for some advice (most will give you a steer for free).
