Hi! I had my first child in a city hospital so the Place of Birth section of the birth certificate was pretty straightforward. But we’ve since moved to a small village, and I’m wondering how that works with birth certificate information. Can you put the name of the village (if I have a home birth)? My nearest hospital is on the outskirts of a town with negative associations, but the location of the hospital isn’t properly in the town and has a smaller place name on its address... I suppose I’m wondering if I give birth in that hospital, is my child going to have the name of this nearest town on their birth certificate and therefore passport for the rest of their life ha
or can I request, whilst registering them, that a different place name be used?
Thanks so much for any help!
