Hello,
Has anyone been successful in gaining a stalking prevention order? How did you manage to obtain it if so?
TY

Do you mean a non Molestation order ?
Or have you made a statement to the police about harassment and stalking?

The police can refer you via ncdv website (national centre of domestic violence) for a non mol but usually only if you have reported it to the police. You can always contact them for Info. Injunctions are only done at court on conviction.

This type of order is different to Non Molestation orders and Restraining orders. Have a look at this: www.weightmans.com/insights/stalking-protection-orders/

Basically without being too outing. I have a non molestation order but it's due to expire soon.. The police were in touch with me as there will be a Marac meeting shortly to discuss our case because there has been ongoing domestic abuse even after fleeing.. They've recommended a stalking prevention order as my ex is a serial stalker and very dangerous individual. Is it something the police can apply for specifically?

It’s a civil order which police can obtain by making an application in the magistrates’ court. They can apply for full or interim orders and they can be obtained without a conviction being in place. If you ring 101 (I know, what a thing to say on MN!) someone should be able to give you more information. Good luck!

Thank you that sounds helpful. Can they get an application granted on the basis of risk of stalking as well.

I think that might be covered by an interim order, but I’m not sure. If you ring 101 someone will be able to advise you.

Suzy Lamplugh site has some great advice about this, so does Paladin Stalking Advocacy Service
