Child maintenance deduction of earnings

Pebbledashery · 31/01/2021 13:10

Hi. My ex is subject to a DOE for CMS.. I've received 2 payments to date
I was supposed to receive January's payment by the 25th but it's not arrived yet. Is it possible he could've told his work place he doesn't give permission for a deduction of earnings? He is seething that it's coming directly from his salary now as it includes arrears also.
Any advice? Can he stop a deduction of earnings order?

As far as I'm aware they only stop when they change or lose their job.
My ex is brilliant at moving jobs to break an order and get a year's break from paying.

Oh @Pebbledashery we've spoken before on this Confused

@schoolcook he's definitely not changed or lost his job.. Is it possible the payment could just be late? Did you receive your payments on time?

That's usually the only way it stops as they don't have control of it their employer does.
My payment when it's happening usually arrives on the last Wednesday of the month but I've had a couple of odd ones way out of sync to the point I thought it had stopped.
Have you checked your online account ?

@Pebbledashery did you get this sorted ?
I've reported missing payments this month and despite him owing me £9000 they overpaid me when my son finished full time education so DID NOT ASK FOR ANY PAYMENTS FOR TWO MONTHS.
I absolutely despair honestly.
Just take it off the debt - my daughter still needs supporting !!
Clearly designed by men for men 🤬
